Interested in any Etro items - shoes or clothes. Let me know if you have got anything you don't want any more!

You have given a range, but from experience with Etro, you need to be a bit more specific. It sounds like shirts would be a 40, Suits/Jackets and pants would be a 52. What prices are you looking for? jreigen is a good contact for getting Etro at reasonable prices, as I have purchased from him before. A few local stores for me are carrying Etro now, so that helps my own Etro needs and can possibly give you a wider range of possibilities between the two of us.

Thanks for your reply. More specifically 52 pants, and 42 blazers are a little too big, and 50 pants and 40 blazers are a little too small. However I am currently on a programme to lose a bit of weight and tone up, so I hope to fit comfortably into 50s in the next few months. Does that help?
Thanks for the tip re: jreigen, I will give him a shout too.

Thanks,

Chris

That helps, but the sizing may change due to your work out regime. The difference in shoulders may only allow you to wear 52 jackets, with the waist being suppressed by a tailor... Just keep that in mind when changes to your body occur. Price ranges? I am not expecting you to list retail obviously, but what would you consider fair for a jacket, suit, shirt, pants, etc.?

I'm curious what about Etro specifically has your interest? Is it the colors/textures?

Have you tried other brands known for their interesting use of color, like Missoni, Byblos Uomo, Fendi Uomo, Ungaro, Dries van Noten, etc.?

Just curious. Etro makes nice stuff, but there are many that do color quite well.

I recently bought a couple of Etro suits on sale for under £300 each, so that seems fair for suits. Shirts, depending on style/condition maybe £20-£80? Trousers probably similar. Shoes are hard to come by and happy to pay up to £11 or thereabouts for those. HOw does that sound?

rach2jlc: I think there are number of things that attract me to Etro. Certainly their interesting use of fabrics and patterns, and the way their outfits are put together on the catwalk captivate me. I think some of their shoes are fairly unrivaled in terms of uniqueness and creativity. I am certainly also a big fan of Missoni, although there stuff tends to cost a lot more and while I love it, it does not vary that much. Dries van Noten I have never associated with colour, but I am sure that's a misconception, and I will certainly check them out again, and the same goes for the other brands you mentioned!

I have to say that Etro's relatively scarcity here in the UK makes it quite attractive - you can be almost certain to be the only person wearing Etro pretty much wherever you are!

What are you thoughts?

Thanks all

Sounds good. BTW, I am in the US, so shipping costs would be a little higher. Also, any items I deal with, whether Etro or any other, are new. I have only seen shoes at the Etro outlet, and I make that trip twice a year. Your pricing would be difficult to find unless as part of an end of season sale or clearout. I will keep an eye out, as I always keep a look out for myself.

If anyone can get sz38/EU48 in Etro or a 39 in shirts let me know...

I am also keen in Etro ties & bowties... sorry to highjack the thread but it seemed stupid to make a new one.

Got access to loads of it, mainly shirts and scarves (cashmere and silk), few jackets.
