I'm interested in buying one of JCrew's Nylon Racer Jackets from F/W 09 off eBay, but unfortunately I've heard that it's sized a bit big, rather than a slim fit. I probably need a small, but sellers only offer the medium. I realize that buying something that doesn't fit you and trying to tailor it radically never creates good results, but if I were interested in trying to slim up the jacket as much as I can, what could be done? I'm going to assume that the sleeve length and armholes are fine, and I am more concerned about the body of the jacket, with the shoulders, or torso area, which will probably particularly baggy or loose. I also want to note that the jacket does come with a belt though, which might help a bit in making it look more fitted to my slim build. Any suggestions? Better yet, does anyone else have personal experience with this jacket? I'm referring to this:
