The second one is a standard-issue Soviet officer's porfolio (офицерский планшет) for maps, documents etc. Except for the leather covering flap it is made from artificial leather. This particular one is missing a shoulder strap. Nice, vintage piece, but can not see to much use for that, since its smaller than an A4 format (used to wear it to school ) http://i2.guns.ru/forums/icons/forum...513/513043.jpg good luck with the sale!

i used to wear it to school too=) The stamp says "december 80",so it's more than 30 years old. great item btw

That BR bag is a classic from the hay day of Banana Republic!

Oh, I miss the days when BR was boutique and mail order and catered to world travelers and the trad stalwart.

Now they're just the Gap but drunk on on Redbull and vodka.

The wallet may just be embossed calf, but it looks like lizard (in any case, I don't believe it's pigskin)
