I take clothing very seriously. This forum, even more so.

In fact, every time I read the word "slim" I have to pop another Librium.

I'd vote for 4, except for the won't talk to anybody bit.

I like trying to dress well, and I like getting compliments. But:

(a) while I probably do give extra points to people who dress well (mega extra points for women);
(b) and I don't doubt that I react less well to people who dress badly,
(c) they are only clothes. Really.

I enjoy dressing nicely, coordinating colors and matching patterns. As a grad student I usually wear jeans but relish the opportunity to wear a suit. Even while wearing jeans I like to think I'm miles ahead of any ol' lout in faded jeans and a t shirt. I take care in my appearance; I believe in always putting my best foot forward.

I care enough to know when I'm not dressed well, but I don't care enough to stop me from wearing whatever when i wanna be comfortable.

Screw you... cupcake.

A man only needs black socks, to go with his 5 pairs of black longwings.

Never! I always keep 5 pairs of navy, 8 pairs of black, and 5 pairs of miscellaneous (anything from dark green to white) in my household.

An interest in clothes is particularly ridiculous and inherently superficial. It's part of my style to say I don't take it seriously but I'm in turn ashamed, cavalier and strangely obsessive about it all. If you're a concoction of autistic-schizophrenic, you're a man.

I do feel ashamed of myself sometimes wasting my time dreaming of the perfect suit and having inner debates on the cuffs or no cuffs issue on a 3 piece suit...

My wife thinks I'm bonkers with my fabric samples in my office..

We're insane...

Isn't there anything between "A Good Bit" and " A lot"?

The only time a man needs black socks is to wear with his dinner jacket, trousers and patent shoes.

Shouldn't they then be made of that sheer kind of black hosery?
