Is there a certain time one should wear a certain cologne?

Me and my friend were talking about difference colognes and he was telling me i should wear more citrus based stuff during the day and woodsy based colognes on rainy days/nights. Do you guys wear certain colognes at different times or just wear whatever you're in the mood for?

i don't rock da cologne. just some after shave balm.

It depends: in evening and cooler weather I go for heavier fare - leathers, ambers, orientals. In summer/daytime I wind up wearing lighter scents that are less likely to bloom and gas me out of my office: citruses, vetivers, etc. Some, though, just wear what they like and be done with it.
