so when is the time of the season where they start putting these up for sale?

Usually in the summer line.

Until then, Gap has some at the moment:

Wait until Easter to wear them...

I'm hoping Levi's is smart enough to put out white pairs in the 511 and 514 models. Not some glazed, distressed white, but just plain old fashioned white white.

What's the difference between the fits of the 511 and 514?

There's a *little* bit of difference up top (you can look at Levis site for the measurements of rise and all that), but it's mainly the leg opening. The 511 is a skinny (not super skinny) leg opening and the 514 is more like a 501 in that it's straight from the knee down (or so it seems to me). I have some bulky snow boots and the 514 easily fits over them.

I have a pair of those. White makes things appear broader and wider. I'm not the tallest person, so I'm going to get something slimmer like the 511s to replace the 501s.

Anything available now that's between the Gap skinny fit and the 501's?

511 --> Skinny (Very fitted ) 514 --> Slim Straight ( Fitted ) , If you have big legs , i advise to wear 514 !!! Their name say anything However 510 ---> Supper Skinny ( Super Fitted ) I don't think a manly man can wear them =))
