If you're not gaining fast enough up your calories. They always say to consume atleast 1-2 grams of protein per pound you weigh. This is where whey protein comes into play (can be expensive and tiring to eat all that protein). It's not juice so it's not going to miraculously build muscle quickly.
i have been working out hard for the past 6ish weeks and i make a protein shake in the morning after my workout and one at night right before bed. i also eat about 4 to 5 solid meals, each of them with some form of protein.
i have gained 15 pounds and lots of people at my school have said i look bigger and stronger. i also feel stronger.
Make sure you cut all wheat gluten out of your diet or the whey protein will not be absorbed properly
Do you have a citation for this? Just curious. Also I know this is an old thread, but a scoop of whey is only around 120 cals. Not exactly going to make you gain a lot of weight (unless you bloat and retain water...)
