For fucks sake. The only thing to appreciate is that they have long since stopped making music. A truly horrible band, no matter how many times you had sex while listening to them back in college, Pio.

If you feel that way why did you even bother clicking the thread?

My highschool graduation was in the year 2000, me and a few friends had in mind to play Anthem for the year 2000 live for our "graduation song" but we lost out to (Green Day Good Riddance)....probably 99% of every class had that song that year.

School mates were fuckers for sure.

Actually, they released an album just a few years ago and it did quite well and are currently working on another album.

They made-up their band name by joining a Nirvana and a You Am I song

Ohhh, I stand corrected. I guess you're still having sex and listening to this tripe.

Look Pio, you're alright and all but Silverchair is some mediocre shit.

Anthem not only of y2k but also of my youth. Saw them in 1998, this was done with a crowd echo, must have been 13 or so. Ahhh nostalgia.

Didn't Daniel Johns trade Natalie Imbruglia in for Paul Mac?

Now we're talking quality music!! You Am I are criminally underrated outside of Aus. Hourly Daily is probably one of my top ten most played CDs ..... still.

Did he? She seemed kinda uncomfortable about his whole public male anorexia campaign tour. so I am not entirely surprised if they split.

Actually, pretty sure it's a C.S. Lewis reference.

As you've alluded to, how we judge some things are context dependent. Btw, at least I'm still having sex. :P

Justin, since we wandered into Oz music as a whole, I've always enjoyed Wolfmother quite a bit.

The band (back when they were the Innocent Criminals, lol!) claimed they were drunk calling in to JJJ (national government youth radio station) to place a request and slurred the two songs together. That was their story at the time, anyway.

Talking of You Am I:

Best Break-up song EVER:

I haven't heard anything from Powderfinger in years - what are they up to?
