Ahaha I would be really impressed if it lasted a few years. I'm probably gonna tear it down next week and re-build it with new uprights; the ones I have are splitting already. I did it with readily available scrap materials (read: free) but I might buy some nice 2x4's or 2x6's and double them up for the next incarnation. Check out

I didn't follow the instructions but had the picture as my guide; if you have quality materials and build it right it'll last for a long, long time. Depends on what its being used for, too - slamming down heavy rack pulls will cause a heck of a lot more fatigue than just benching or something. As for the bench, I bought some of that interlocking foam floor padding and cut it to fit the bench and just duct taped it down. Much better so far.
