If you truly are paying $46 for the AA hoodie you are definitely bending over for Dov.

Jesus, shut the fuck up already. It's the thermal-lined hoodie, and I bought it when it was new so it wasn't available at wholesale prices. I like it. I want to put a new zipper on it. End of story. Also, shortening/lengthening zippers is not rocket science. You can just pull the teeth off, cut off the tips and then sew it down with a lockstitch.

Yeah? We'll have to try that one of these days... But yes, we do enough volume to have custom Riri zippers made. Beautiful, but expen$ive. Minimum order quantities and a couple weeks leadtime apply. Give the guys (gals?) at ririzippers.com a call and see what they can do for you. I'd be curious to see what retail pricing on these zippers are as well. There's also this which looks like a pretty good deal, except I wouldn't know if 30" is good enough, or if the zipper separates at the end, and if red would suit you. But can't beat $7.95! It'd be worth it to ask them what else they have available.

Yea I've pestered Zipperstop a lot. Thanks for the link. I'm considering it.. maybe I can convert it into a double. I found a guide on shortening zippers on ask.com or something, and it worked fine for me before. Doesn't look spectacular but it's not really noticeable anyway. And the retail price is in the ~$23 range for about 24" of zipper.

I agree on all counts here. Sorry to have to say this, but I am sick of the posts that essentially read "You are an idiot for spending X amount on Y item..." C'mon already. You might say that you wouldn't spend that, or that in your opinion or in your financial situation, it's crazy money (everytime I see the prices paid for anything by R45RPM, my mind goes completely numb), but otherwise, yes, shut the fuck up. Please.

Oh, lighten the fuck up. It seemed a little silly to spend more for you zipper than the garment it's attached to. And it is a little silly. That's all. You're both really, really overreacting.

Silly or not, the comment "If you truly are paying $46 for the AA hoodie you are definitely bending over for Dov" is just fucking rude. Inside voice. Use it sometimes.

The responses are also rude. Didn't your mothers ever tell you two wrong's don't make a right?

Sorry if you found my response rude

Here is my point. If you don't have anything constructive, or even peripherally informative, to say, don't say it. For example, if you have no idea where to get riri zippers, and have nothing to add except that AA hoodies are not worth $46, feel free to post nothing on the topic, and especially not in the tone used. I hope that that is clear enough for everyone.

Fok.

Yea my reaction was a bit knee-jerk but I left it up anyway. Just got sick of the tone. Frankly I don't care at all if people think I paid too much for the hoodie, or that the zipper costs more than the materials in the sweatshirt. I don't think my "stfu" comment was overreacting to

which is what I quoted in the first place. Stop this nonsense or you'll be moderated!

What, I can't be witty on here? It is the internet after all. Do I think AA are worth $46, no. Would I ever pay that much for an AA sweat, no, once again. To get back on topic, I did provide you with a link to RIRI zippers, granted I am not sure if any of them are proper length.

No, we like witty. But after a certain point, witty just becomes asshollery, y'know? I mean, I think that it was pretty obvious by the time you posted your comment that Brian just liked the hoodie, so your comment was not necessary. I mean, if he asked if people thought that he overpaid for the hoodie, that would be a different matter.

Whatever, I'm sure you understand.

Fok.

Naw, I understand. I should've quoted his post, as I was solely referring to the $46 pricetag. I think it's real cool to resew the zipper as I've done that on a hoodie that was half-zip to a full-zip (just not w. a RIRI)
