I want those Shannons very bad, but the width might be a bit narrow for me. Sky Valet has them for $1250 so it would be nice to save $300, but D width is killing me! This is almost torture!

Keep in mind that the RL x EG 89 last is wider (and higher volume - especially the instep) than the other EG lasts (888, 82...). I typically wear 9.5E or more but the 89 last 9.5D fits me perfectly. Awesome boots!

Awesome boots!

So you think these likely fit close to a 10.5E? I thought I read in another thread the the EG 202 was their roomiest fitting last? Is the 89 for RLPL the same as the 202 for EG? I realize I have to make up my own mind, but your opinion would still be helpful without placing any blame if it did not work.

Actually, that is sort of a pet peeve of mine. The internet, whether BS here or Ebay, allows you to get things at sometimes great bargains, but you don't get to try them on first. That is the risk you have to take. I hate it when people want the benefit of the steep discounts that come with this risk, but then also want to be able to return anyway, which Ebay will let them do regardless of return policy. I think that really stinks.

Anyway, your opinion EL72 would be greatly appreciated, as I just love these boots! If these were the two-tone, wtih the suede uppers , they would already be gone and I would wear them tight, if necessary!
