Doesn't sound too unlike your presence in the CE forum.

Every time one generation of video game consoles starts to die and another begins to be released, I tell myself I have outgrown video games, will never buy another video game system, have better things to do with my time, and so on.

I really thought that it was true this time, but the Wii looks so awesome. Luckily or unfortunately, depending on how you view it, I don't really have the money to buy it right when it comes out, but I really hope I somehow wind up with one before too much longer.

I'm not really very interested in the PS3, though.

From all I've been hearing, the new Zelda is an absolute masterpiece. The wait is killing me!

I did not pre-order either game platforms.

However, I will get PS3 just for Grand Turismo 5. The racing pack verison if they package them together like previous PS.

Undecided about the Wii.

I'm defintiely going to get the Wii, but if I can get a PS3, I'll buy it with hopes of selling on ebay (unless that game Resistance turns out to be really good)

I heard that also, apparently like with Ape Escape when you had to use a dual shock controller you have to use the Wii controller with Zelda

I just saw a TV ad for Wii here in Japan. Looks very cool!

I am about 25 hours in on FFXII... and so far it is really good. I can also tell that its going to be very loooong. I dunno if its FFVII good, but its got a shot, and thematically its very different so its not really fair to compare it. I'm really diggin the new battle system and of course, the cinematics are out-friggin-standing. If anyone is on the fence about devoting 55+ hours of your life to it, so far its been very good. I don't know why Uematsu didn't do the scoring, but thats the only thing really "missing" that I'd like to have back.

I think the fact that the US is getting like 80% of the launch units versus Japan, leads me to believe the PS3 may not be ready for prime time. I preordered one, but I'm not counting the days like I was for getting my hands on a 360 at Zero Hour last year.

About a year into 360, you're starting to get some good software for it. I expect PS3 will be much the same. Besides all of my friends are on XBLive. So, I looked at it as an inexpensive BluRay player. But I really want it for the F1 game coming out in 2007.

I didn't get a chance to pre-order the Wii. I'll probably get one, too. I think the Wii may turn out to be the sleeper of the bunch.

Phew, I'm only about 9.5 in so far. My friend down the hall who is obsessed with FF has logged well over 60 hours. He found some trick to completely max out his license points.

FF is great so far, but I'm afraid it's all going to come to a screeching halt when Wii comes out. Nothing (NOTHNG) stands in the way of Zelda.

My PS3 pre-order will not be filled on launch date. I'm third in line, so I imagine It should arrive in the next two or three weeks.

There are about 30 people that have been lined up outside the Best Buy near my house. They have been there since monday. It has been raining, and verrrry windy at night. One guy told me today that his tent became airborne with him in it on Tuesday evening. They are insane. I hope they all make $2k for their PS3 units, because if they are waiting in line to buy and play it, I'd be inclined to kick them all in the balls with winklepickers.

Okay I have decided I will get a Wii on sunday. Even though my TV is like 17" across and I have no money. I cannot not get one.

John Edwards wants PS3 so badly he begged the evil WalMart for one...
