Liverpool off to a great start here due to some pretty poor defending by Newcastle. Good movement and passing though.

****, looking at recent form, it's entirely possible that Liverpool steal Spurs spot in Europe.

Spurs collapse is a perfect example of why top teams need HUGE squads. They were just run down with their Champions League quest.

spurs collapse every year at this stage. at least for the last 5 or 6 years. in 2006 they had 4th place locked up until the last game and they threw it away allowing arsenal back in

I'd still give Man U about an 80% chance of taking the title based on the remaining schedule.

I'm wondering if Ferg. is going to play Hernandez or Berbatov in the remaining big games.

interesting but ultimately meaningless. barca and united will almost certainly win their respective leagues (barca i'd say will for sure, 4 points in 4 games needed) and they are poised to advance to the finals. madrid and schalke won't win their leagues and won't advance either (though schalke is more certain of not advancing in my opinion).

Yep. Not sure about the other teams lineups but Barça started a half b-squad out there. Would have been nice to move the magic # to 4, but it's all a matter of time for them and Man U as well.

you're probably right, but less clear for manpoo after this weekend. on the 'who gives a sh!t' front: roma catch a break and may still get in CL - let's hope juve stalls lazio this afternoon.....

The last ten pages of his commentary have essentially thrown out his opinion as valid...
