They did have a good assortment of DC blazers. Also had a fair amount of nice Gazzarani and Jey Coleman outerwear. One really nice Gazzarani leather jacket in 38.

No Mastai anywhere really. DCs are 69.99 - 10%. You'll need to take them to a tailor...not slim

Meh... passable in my book.

Gazzarrini is great stuff. Made well, though sometimes construction is left behind in favor of fashion. The line is very slim fitting and fashion forward. www.gazzarrini.eu

Gazzarrini is superior to Armani in terms of construction, and much more interesting in terms of design.

There is most definitely canvassing (in blazers and suit jackets) going on.

Gazzarrini is often too daring and futuristic, but their traditional pieces are the best of both worlds ---- superb tailoring and clean lines.

Buy whatever you can - it's not easy to get in this country outside of yoox.com and shopstyle.com (which often refers you to yoox).

Gazzarrini has no retail distribution (other than the recently departed Daffy's) in this country.

The mastai/saitt group shirts are pretty picked over at the majority of the Daffys. Maybe they'll put more out, but big drop in available inventory last week versus today... Still a lot of those David Chu jackets which are a good deal if you can size right...

There are rebadged Corgi's called something like Socks of Wales -- I can't remember exactly. $11.99 or $12.99 at fully Daffy's prices. I didn't see any at 44th St. today -- though all socks were 10% off.

I'm gonna miss those shirts. They fit me perfectly out of the box.

Speaking of shirts, what do you guys think of the A. Basile "Custom" line? I've bought a number of these from Daffy's and always liked the fit and fabric.

I actually picked up a couple more today @ 44th street.

As for socks, I'm not that picky and have purchased tons of "Zaffrini" and another maker with an odd italian name that escapes me know....puzzled.gif Along with the occassional gold toe and whatever else they've stocked through the years.

Those shirts are made by the same company, I believe, but I am not sure if it's the same quality. Either way, I think they are a great value.

Yep -- all made by Saitt. Take a look at the Daffy's hang tag on the shirts -- all the current season ones that came out in the last few weeks have a white Daffy's price tag affixed to one of the button holes. You'll notice there are four letters there that read SAIT backwards (that's the vendor code). You'll also notice that all the Saitt shirts this season that are tagged that way have the same UPC code, as the warehouse didn't have time to match up style numbers and create individual tags for each shirt, so all the shirts got the same UPC code.

+1, really bummed they got picked clean before i got to them.

there are still some shirts from SAIT group around if you dig through the racks and don't forget to check the shelves with shirts still in plastic wrap. Often there are more on those shelves.

Definitely try the shirts on as they run skinny and I find that size 40 has a pretty wide variety of cuts. Often times they're too narrow across the shoulders and tight across the chest for me. That said, they're a huge value at 30 if you they fit. Maybe we'll luck out and there will be a re-stock at some point.

Today's Daffys haul from 57th street store

2 Fabio Inghirami dress shirts
1 Mastai Ferretti dress shirt
2 A. Basile "Custom" dress shirt
1 Alea dress shirt
1 Korum dress shirt
1 Tom Hancock sweater
1 Sottotono navy turtleneck
4 pairs of Lorenzo Uomo socks

total was less than $200!

Gonna miss Daffy's....
