Had one suit, one jacket, one tuxedo made by them and pretty happy with the result

Picked up my spring navy blazer today and want to ask for advice on fit

I'm 5''6 so I tend to wear short sports jackets, usually with chino/odd trousers, darker wash jeans as well.

Should I shorten this jacket even further? by like 0.5''? Or it's already on very short end of spectrum ?

It is much too short, and there are some serious sleeve pitch issues going on. Unfortunately, you won't be able to add length to the jacket.

Agreed on both.

@smilence, in terms of the sleeve pitch issue, you seem to be standing very unnaturally. Relax your arms. But if that ripple at your tricep doesn't go away (or at least greatly diminish) then the sleeves need to be rotated.

And it's definitely too short. Might be passable if it was a casual jacket, but that's greatly at odds with the formality of what you appear to have there. The photo quality makes it impossible to see the detail of the fabric, but this looks a lot like a suit jacket rather than a blazer. At minimum you want brown horn buttons on a blazer and it will typically be made of a fabric that has some texture. Patch pockets are more common, too. Flaps aren't "wrong" but I might keep them tucked if you do decide to use it as a blazer.

Thx @jcmeyer, it will be a casual jacket. The fabric is from the loro piana spring jacket book: https://hallmadden.com/loro-piana-giacche-ss18/3g8hclng5ry4jpj8edy34bzaidzf8l and has some subtle texture.

Now actually i start wondering whether the advice here is a bit too fashion forward: https://ashleyweston.com/mens-clothing-fit-guide/how-should-a-blazer-fit/

They don't have the horn button at the moment but they'll get them replaced next week. The sleeves, I think it's part of because of my posture but definitely some work needs to be done here. They usually do a very good job taking care of these things though.

It looks like a hopsack weave, yes, albeit a tight one which will resolve a little more formal. The Spoon guys are all super nice and accommodating, so I'm sure they'll do what they can to fix the things they can control, like the buttons and the sleeves. The jacket from the suit you posted on the previous page looks better than this one, BTW. Live and learn on the length and other details, and meanwhile enjoy your stuff!
