I love that print. I tried the short sleeve when they came out but it was too tight, still hunting for one of the caps with the ocean print

it is ridiculously tight. The worst part is that I'm almost positive a size up will result in the shoulders being too large. How do you guys feel about the neck? My medium fits like a S in the waist, M in the shoulders, and L in the neck...

I only have a club collar shirt by Ervell but I'd say that's pretty accurate - the neck is just a tad on the bigger side but the waist is so narrow. I don't think sizing up would help. With the demise of Baron Wells, I'm out of luck for club collars.

Anyone have the navy wool field coat from A/W '13? I was looking at some field coat pictures and that one seems to be a clear winner relative to his normal styles.

Anyone know how the fit is on the insulated flight bomber?

It's really unfortunate. The sizing / fit used to be perfect in Patrik Ervell shirting for me back around 2011 - now it's way too tight in the chest and waist but huge in the neck. I don't know what he was thinking with the sizing changes but I don't think any human is shaped like this...

Same. Also, the shirts are longer than they used to be (at least the last few seasons have).

As far as sizing goes has anybody tried stuff from this current season? Tempted to buy a couple things on sale, but none of the stockists I've seen (including ervell's own site) have measurements.

It's weird that the fit is different simply because he always talked about he was the archetype for the fit. Everything was designed to fit him specifically. Maybe he got a fat neck.

Is it possible sizing changed when the shirts moved from being made in the USA to Portugal?

The length is the one change I can get behind. Also, the staff is very responsive to e-mail requests for sizing.

I have had the same issue with fit of the shirts the last few seasons since he changed the sizing, too tight, especially in the waist, even some of the past few pocket sweaters had too much waist suppression for a knit in my opinion. I can't do the shirts anymore which stinks b.c I like his club collars...ah well.

Agreed, but it does beg the question of why specific designers webstores would not post the measurements for a two hundred dollar shirt? Given the vascillation of sizing in the past, the non existence of fit pics from other retailers, and the possible weeks wait time for some of these items I would probably steer clear of purchasing, too. Which sucks because there's more than one item I would be interested in buying.

I think it's less a specific choice and more a lack of manpower or something. Their site *does* have a section for sizing, it's just been broken since forever.

I've not found the staff to be responsive. Questions I've asked have received responses like "it's a size 40", which clearly does me no good. Last season I purchased four xl shirts. All four of them had different arm lengths measuring from 25.5 to 27.5. You can't list garment dimensions when there is no consistency.
