That sucks. Wish it was snap buttons closure at cuffs. Patrik should have known it. I think he used the velcro on propose to force us buy new coat every season.

How did you deal with it?

Weird. I've never known velcro to stop working.

Get a tailor to throw some new velcro on there. Or maybe snaps?

Where did you get the leather aviator from? I can seem to find any sites that still have them in stock.

Finally back to school to check out my shipment from the 50% off sale. I'm 5'7", 130 lbs, 35" chest and took a S in everything.

Grey melange pocket sweater - was looking for a light grey sweater, and the melange is a perfect extra detail to a simple design. This is my first pocket sweater and alpaca item, and I'm very pleased. I hope he'll bring back the purple color next year.

Turquoise cardigan - have wanted a garnet cardigan for the longest time after gettoasty nabbed a pima cotton one from a sample sale a couple years ago, but this color caught my eye. It's even better in person, as the subtle variations between the blue and turquoise really pop out. Amazing. My only complaint is that the sleeves are longer than on the pocket sweater (3" according to the website) and don't work as well for my frame. Ultimately not a big issue though, and I'll probably order the same size next time.

Black knit tie - simple and solid. Perfectly happy at 50% off, wouldn't have paid retail though.

Need Supply still has the unstructured blazer in S, so I might check it out the next time I'm in Richmond. That's really the only other item this season that I'm considering.

Blazer coat arrived today! However, as beautiful as it is, they sent me the wrong one unfortunately. I ordered the Navy Wool Coating but have received the Patterned Navy Wool, so I may have to return it, which is a real pain.

Having tried it on now, in 42, it feels more like a coat than a blazer. I'll try it on again before sending back, but I could have easily gone with the 40 for a more snug fit. So I may opt to also size down on the exchange. I'm wearing a button down shirt today and looking at the measurements of the 40, 0.5" down in the shoulders and 1" in the chest should be fine.

Though I wonder what that means for the other unstructured blazer sizing which i'm also considering.

I'll have to take some. Under indoor light you don't see the brightness of the blue and it gives the impression that it is simply Navy with a pattern.

In natural light however it is different and looks much brighter. While the pattern is interesting, I believe the solid Navy will be better for me.

FYI they sent me the wrong item last year and by the time I got them to reply, my item had sold out.

I was thinking of that exact scenario this morning and that would not be ideal.

Might just buy the blazer again and have them refund me the original transaction.

I can't imagine they would have a problem with that.

(I may even chuck in an unstructured blazer while i'm at it - that forest green is very nice).

PSA - those after the Moss Field Coat in M might have missed out on the Ervell site.

However Farfetch and Need Supply both have them. $362 and $392 respectively, shipped.

They got as low as $355 + shipping on the Ervell site.

Edit - Just took the last M on Farfetch. L and XL available still however.

It's even cheaper than that @ Bloomingdales (if sale is still going). There were mediums and larges @ the SF location as of a couple days ago.

Not sure if they have an online store? All good - bought now, and for cheaper than I would have bought it on the Ervell site.

Interested to see the color of the Moss in person. If any of you recall, I bought the L last season but it was too big and returned it.
