Gaga's new song

Lady Gaga's new song, which has been hyped for months, was released today. It is incredibly underwhelming and actually is just crappy. One really gets the sense of "trying too hard." The video I was going to post was taken down from YouTube, sorry.

Just boring... she has had one or two decent songs, and then lived off the hype and deliberate eccentricities.

I heard it for the first time this morning and this is exactly what I thought.

Hopefully she'll have better songs on the album. Some of her non-single pieces are actually pretty good especially the disco tracks on the re-release of The Fame (Fame Monster).

I'm under the impression that songwriters and producers are lining up to work on singles for her. She may not have a good album, but it's hard to imagine there won't be a good share of listenable songs unless she tries to write them herself and fails, like Kelly Clarkson did with that really shitty album that followed up the one with her really big hits.

As soon as I heard it I thought of Madonna. I was pretty disappointed. Lady Gaga is the only pop singer I can stand.
