I know a lot of our SF members are from NYC......but are they Yankee Fans? If so I have a great deal for you and if you are not from NYC I will still hook you up! I came across some great signed 8x10 photos of Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle. They are the perfect size for framing and putting in an office! Or as the center of any Yankee fan collection.

Below is an excerpt from the party who verified the photo signatures to be real. So now is your shot to get the photo and the certificate of authenticity for a price well below the suggested retail price.

I am open to offers, criticism, and any random comments that are sure to come. If interested PM me for shipping rates (which will include insurance) for UPS ground. I will accept paypal personal payment or certified check.

BUY NOW for $550.00---$500.00---$425.00---$350......($200)

This photo is awesome!!!!

Dimaggio is a little before my time. The picture is a great item.

I thought sports memorabilia is still very popular.

Wouldn't it make more sense to advertise this photo on a sports memorabilia forum? I haven't looked, but I bet there are many of them.

Good Luck with the sale.

I wanted to pass this photo along to a SF member as I figured it could be an interesting way to bring part of my passion for sports to SF and ensure another gentleman could enjoy it as much as me. But you do have a good point and I will give it a shot too.....

I might be new to the site but come on man...enough of the thread crapping!! If I were to drop the item to $200 would you buy it? If not read the rules of the forum before you "look out" for other members as I am by no means looking to screw anyone! If you are interested at $200 step up.....otherwise mind your own business.

Nice no comment tyring to question the validity of the item.....but I do respect the way in which you phrased your concern. I got this item from a military auction supporting the troops.....So I would think that the homework I did and the homework AAFES did should be enough comfort to buy with ease. However, here is some additional information from the TTA Website:

How our Services work...
No one can authenticate a signature 100% if they did not witness it and anyone who says otherwise is just not being forthright. They can give you're their opinion and can base that opinion on experience and examples of other signatures.
We feel that our many years of years of hobby experience - running shows, collecting autographs, designing collectibles, hosting signing sessions, etc. gives us a unique perspective on what is and what isn't good. So what we give you is our best opinion. We will VERIFY that a signature is/or is NOT authentic based on our experiences over the years.
We do not use machines. We do not use chemicals. We will provide OUR BEST opinions as to the legitimacy of your items and will provide either an embossed digitally pictured document- or a hologrammed laminated certificate with matching number affixed to the item - to that effect. (We also keep a permanent record of our findings on file.)
Each item submitted gets logged - pass or fail -in our data base.

Anybody dumb enough to buy a Mantle or Dimaggio authenticated by TTA, STAT, Burczyck, AAU or the old GAI is an idiot and deserves to be ripped off. None of those I see look even close. The Mantle's are horrible.

Hopefully buyers will google these authentication companies before they purchase anything!!!!

It would be nice if you were to read before posting such a comment. First of all I did not purchase it from some random site. As stated earlier I purchased a lot of sports memorabilia at a military auction. So you would not be able to buy this item unless you are in the military or retired from the military or on some reserve status. I sure as heck did not pay $10, $20, or $40 as you mention and I used a stock photo of the COA....The actual one lines up to the picture number.

What I would like to know is when did you become an expert in autographs? And since you do not know me why do you feel that you are able to question my ethics? I have not lied or led anyone astray and for you to call me an idiot and deserving to be ripped off shows a truly classless person. If you have questions why not PM me and either tell me who you consider a quality COA company or keep your comments and opinions to yourself.

Here is what they have to say about the processes they use and how valid the opinion they have on the signatures....I am selling these as is, which is a perfect 8x10 with both signatures, certificate of authenticity, and no creases, smudges, or wrinkles on the photos.

Authenticity Process and Sports Memorabilia 100% Guarantee
We assure 100% authenticity of each piece sold from our auction. The photos are singular expressions and each signature is genuine and one of a kind. Examinations are performed independently with a certificate of authenticity being issued for each piece. Our authenticators have the highest level of objectivity and hold no financial interest in the certifying process, which allows them to maintain an independent opinion. We use only qualified authenticators who have been credentialed as expert document examiners. Scientific principles are used to examine each piece. Scientific principals may include but are not limited to writing instruments, ink comparisons, area measurements as well as the use of ultraviolet and infrared lighting and a stereoscopic microscope. In addition, we believe that it is important for buyers to keep in mind that there are many self-proclaimed experts that attempt to render their opinion as truth, fabricating their credentials and qualifications. It is essential to look beyond advertised qualifications and base conclusions on findings and facts. A certified forensic examiner will never change his or her mind about the authenticity of any decision made. Their decision will be supported by scientific principles and hold up in a court of law. Unlike others in this market who claim no liability to their customers, stating that opinions may change, we stand behind the authenticity of each piece and will not knowingly sell any forged items. Additionally, we also randomly select certified pieces from our collection and resubmit to a second authenticator.
100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We offer a 30 day 100% refund guarantee. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your Sports Memorabilia purchase, you may return it for a full merchandise refund.
This item has been personally authenticated by TTA Authentic, one of the nation's top memorabilia authentication companies. TTA provides its best opinion as to the legitimacy of an item, which comes with a numbered hologram and Certificate of Authenticity with corresponding number. TTA Authentic, LLC does not buy or sell, eliminating any conflict of interest.

That wasnt a very nice thing you did, Catalyst. But a $200 difference?

But remember, in the OP:

Compare @ $1899 w/COA

Well, Compared to $1,899, $425 is a good price.

But, Compared to the Ebay price of $239.99 or make an offer, $425 is not so special

PRICE DROP......to $350. I might even consider going lower due to the catalyst of "looking out" for other members provided by SFer "Catalyst." So I dropped the price to $350 but if someone is interested I will sell it for $225 from now until Thursday evening at 7PM EST. Consider it good will for the President's Day Weekend after that the price goes back to $350.

EDIT: Since I got this picture in a larger lot I am ok dropping the price for the holiday weekend. I merely went by the retail price and listed it at 1/3rd the value. Dropping it to the below EBay price should work given I can garner some interest in it.

Nice Picture

Why wouldn't they just go to the same auction site you did and buy these fake photo's for the same price you did? $10-$40. I like how you copied the auction site. BTW how did you get a copy of a blank COA with all 000000's rather then one that matches a hologram? Interesting.
