Can you guys please comment on the fit of these trousers? Opinions on whether I should have them modified in any way (i.e. narrow the trouser legs, etc.) would be greatly appreciated .
Too much waist material. They look like parachute pants from the 80s. Get slim fit trousers. More importantly, your shirt is way too big. Too much materials. Get that tailored and next time get slim fit or even extra slim fit shirts and size down.
Thanks guys - this is really helpful. They are MTM so I can't return them but I guess I can ask the tailor to modify them. Is there anything I should specifically ask him to do other than to make them slimmer-fitting?

I am wondering why your front pockets aren't laying flat. The usual reasons are (a) the seat is too tight or (b) the front of the pants isn't actually wide enough for your hips. It might also be an artifact of wearing the pants below your natural waist.
