navy suit, brown shoes, blue shirt, what color tie? - Page 2

Navy or oxblood.

White poplin shirt. Navy knit. White linen PS. Contrasting textures and all that.

But make sure there is sufficient contrast in the shades of navy - e.g. lighter suit (mid-blue) and darker tie (midnight-blue).

This is assuming a day wedding ceremony.

Anything but the black tie. Burgundy would be my #1 choice.

White shirt is formal, blue is for business. blue shirt and black tie tells me you've never done this before. Navy suit is usually for business but take it to a wedding if you must. I suggest a white shirt, maybe french cuff too and as solid as possible tie with a serious but fun color like dark purple or orange. If you insist on a blue shirt, my vote's for purple, orange, or brown. Grey, black or green could work but they're much harder to get just right. (as usual if someone wants their pic taken down just let me know)

I suggest wearing a white shirt dark blue tie....that's what I've been rocking....

I love the brown and blue look.

Girls really notice it too.

You want to look impressive, eh?

May I suggest a $1500 MSRP Brioni Vicuna tie? Ex girlfriend will call off the wedding immediately and bang you in the aisle.

Can new members start lurking around before asking a question like this?

A navy suit is not 'usually for business', it is perfect for many occasions including weddings.

lol

I say go brown grenadine, or even burgundy or dark green. But brown would be my choice.
