^ but then again, I'm not sure what last the Guidi boot will be on.
and at the end of the day its a black boot. Yes, it will be cool but will it be that different from other black boots? I find the smoke grey kudu a more interesting material and a more interesting color. But I am not really a black boot guy so my opinion is not worth much here...

How does the 2045 last fit?

I'm unfamiliar with Viberg sizing. My true size is 10D, and I fit into the following shoes in the listed size:

Alden Barrie/Trubalance last = 9.5D
Alden Plaza last = 10D
AE Park Avenue = 9.5D
AE Dalton = 10D
Red Wing 875/877 = 10D
Wolverine 1000 mile = 9.5D

Thanks

or go for the smoke grey kudu service boot on 2030 that we are getting ready to place an order for...
I've been thinking about it, but for overall closet diversity, the chukka is a good fit for me plus Im not sold on the "smoke"

I am intrigued by the Kudu, particularly since this one it seems is not the same as the Kudu that Alden uses (the only one I've actually seen in person).

That midnight chukka is great looking so I am sure you will not be disappointed. Please post some pics when you get it, I would love to see some real world shots

The kudu alden uses is supplied by Horween and its cowhide. The kudu viberg uses is from an actual kudu.

I hear ya. That is why I was hoping to see some pics of a pair with some miles on it to get a sense of the difference as I have no experience with Kudu that is actual Kudu but sounds like it might be pretty sweet.

At the end of the day, it's grey suede. Just giving you a hard time. Actually, I'm not a black boot guy, either. Of the over 25 pairs of boots I have, none of them are black. This limits me when I wear something that calls for black footwear so I figured I need to get at least one pair of black. I'm not ready to go the shiny black CXL or black shell yet, so I figure the matte type of black would work to start with.

Actually, that's why I was first interested in the smoke grey Kudu when I thought it was grain side out. A darker grey grain side out or nubuck type finish would have been great.

Did the smoke gray get off the ground. I am still waiting to see if the derby does

Both the kudu service boot / boondocker and the Derby in brown CXL will be up in the store what's in the week. Whether they go forward depends strictly on you guys.

Cheers,

Fok

Guy - any plans for a restock on the Boondocker? Can't believe my size is already gone.
