That not a 100% correct I've seen people in snow pacs walk on ice like it was dry.
Viberg offers Vibram 100 fire and ice.
Don't et me wrong, I can walk fine on ice - have done it for years, but it was not because of the sole of the shoe. I have used both leather and rubber lug. Of course, I'm speaking of my experience and have not tried every possible sole, just the standard ones we were speaking about. I mean if you really want to be safe strap on cleats:
Yes, I have had quite a bit, and personally I'm moving away from them. They track too much mud and I'm always digging stones out. I prefer Dainite or Ridgeway. I'm having my new Viberg 145 Oxford made with the Vibram 1743 Bologna Gumlite sole.

I am eyeballing the cordovan service boot for quite some time now and tried size 8.5 which fit perfectly.
Although it has been discussed here many times I am very insecure about the different lasts.
Is there an overview, how any of the (through viberg used) lasts is shaped?
Can I measure my feet and judge it from there?
I would love to take part in the next sample sale round, but need to know more about that.
Thanks a lot!
