Viberg Boots - Page 313

I'm in for exact copies of the Cabourn boot and the derby, but a dainite sole would be really nice to have

These look very nice indeed.  Wonder what last they will be built on...

Also, the Derby just looks better on a leather sole. Me, I'll be getting them topied for protection. Best of both worlds.

To me the traditional work boot lasts (ie 110) look great with the oxford, like what they have at the bureau, where as the derby just looks right on the sleeker 2030 last. These are summer shoes so a leather sole makes perfect sense. I prefer rubber soles on boots I'll be wearing during the winter months. I love the look of the derby's pictured on the 2030 with the double leather sole! Looking forward to wearing these derby's for many spring and summers to come.

Not sure if the Derby shown is on the 2030, 1032, or 2040, which has been described to be as the round toe version of the 2030, but we will use the same last. Love that shoe.

Thank you, I will follow you into battle.

Sigh...My Cigar Cap Toes are in at Alden DC.  I have to decide between the derby and those I think.

Nice find! That's a good visual. I just don't like the pull tab on the back but I don't think that's in the service boot.
So... How's this look then:

SPECIFICATIONS:
Model: Service Boot
Last: 110
Leather: Copper Task roughout
Captoe: Yes, non-brogue
Midsole: Natural
Outsole: Dainite
Eyelets: 7 antique brass
Tongue: ?

Stick with the Cabourn makeup, copper task grains side tongue? Or maybe a dark leather grain side contrast tongue?

Also @LA Guy do you know if the rivet below the eyelets is possible? Thanks.

Dude, that's an easy call. Cigar cordovan trumps cxl every time.

@daft luck that sounds great! I'm ok without the rivet. I thought guy said it wasn't an option, but we can look into it. What are your thoughts on a tongue with a bit more contrast?

I'm not sure what leathers are available to us, but I really like the idea of a darker leather grain side tongue for contrast. You?

Agreed, something dark brown with some texture would be cool, like a buffalo or some kind of scotch grain leather.

Even though I have no idea on sizing I might jump if it is an exact copy of the old Cabourn boot - rivet and distressing included

I heard some stores can't display inventory online. Odd, but I get it.

I hope next round we put up a black French calf with 10 eyelets (nickel), Dainite, 2030, perforated cap toe, and unstructured toe box.

Either way, let's move forward with the makeups.

Pauw in the Netherlands like I mentioned in the post.

Brooklyn clothing in Canada has black French calf boot pretty much as you described. They have pics on Facebook / Instagram

They don't carry half sizes frown.gif

I need a 7.5 in the 2030 last. I think a 7 would work on the 110.
