Great from the side, the front and back but it's just that instep Ben. Think that gets better with wear though. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that so....enjoy!

Woohoo! Just put in a MTO with Viberg for a Service Boot in Black Oil Tan. What's the norm for turnaround times these days? Anyone know?

Tell me about it... It took me about three weeks to get to this point, two weeks of straight out asking if I can go ahead and pay. And the waiting. And waiting for an invoice to arrive.

Which is good since I tweaked it a lot along the way right up until I saw the invoice a few minutes ago with different color thread marked than what was planned.

Oh, that's awesome. I was under the impression it'd be like 18 weeks or longer. Guess I've been toggling between Viberg and TOJ threads too much lately...

I can deal with 5-6 weeks easily.

Just paid for the remainder minutes ago as well. I am super stoked and looking forward to receiving the boots.

I really think MTO is a major part of the fun, to have the boots made to your special requests and you get to experiment a lit bit with options that might not have been seen before. If they could provide more information on the website such as leather swatch photos it would have been even more enjoyable.

What you end up getting?

Scout boot, 2030, ebony esssex rough out, 4014 cristy sole, antique brass eyelets, unstructured plain toe, natural sole edge

Guess I've been toggling between Viberg and TOJ threads too much lately...

Just emailed Morgan to add another 1/4" on the shaft and take .05" out of the toe width.

I'm also not a big fan of the chukka personally.

On another note, I initially did not like the christy sole either on the boots, but not after looking at more and more pictures, it's starting to grow on me.
