I'm usually a 10.5D in the Barrie last for Alden, and with my only Viberg boot - the chukka (in the 1001 last I believe), the UK9.5 fit great.

I have two pair of Vibergs. One is a 9 the other a 9.5. They are on different lasts and fit very differently. I won't buy anything in this sale that wasn't on one of those lasts since this is a no return situation. If you don't know your sizing on various lasts this could be as difficult as buying Aldens (which can be challenging).

I had a pair of vibergs before on the 2030 last and size marked on the boots was uk 6.5 but fit the same as 6.5 Barrie

damit you guys are making sizing vibergs seem very confusing...

So some talk about Viberg versus Alden...but for those without Aldens, any sizing advice against more common shoes? I.e. Clark's desert boots, Converse chucks, Common Projects, Allen Edmonds, etc? TIA
post #337 of 7526
I wear a size 43 (US10) in all Common Projects shoes - essentially, any sneaker built on the Serena sole - and I take a size 9.5 in the Viberg 2030, etc... I like a sight bit of give in all of my footwear.

The 2030 last is much more shallow than most lasts, and is a bit elongated.

I take a 10 in both Clark's Desert Boots and Chuck Taylors, and a 42 in CP Achilles (mind you, they fit me pretty narrow but length is good), and I take a size 9 in the 2030 last (I have a pair of service boots, saddle oxfords, and hikers). I also have a pair of Viberg chukkas with the 110 last in 9.5, and although they're roomier, they still work.

Meaning you like to be able to stretch the leather as per your use? Therefore, you like your footwear a bit snug?

Edited to be directed at LA Guy

No, I like my footwear to be on the loose, rather than the snug, side. My toes get claustrophobia. I like them to be able to wiggle around when I put them on, from the first time.

Looking at the list, looks like the guys with smaller feet are in luck...

After all that i don't think i want anything. Still can't work out if they are US or UK sizing. I'm guessing they are UK sizing as thats what they are normally sized as.

Some great gear but i have the Oxfords in two colours already and not much else in a 7 for my tastes.

Thanks anyway Guy. Great sale.

Someone in an 8.5 is getting extremely lucky with those harness leather bobs. Beautiful.
