I don't live in 10022 and they never tried to deliver to me, yet the USPS is sending the package back to Viberg

wow, I feel for you man. Sorry to hear this.

EDIT: Looks like you're gonna get your V's ! Good news. Post pix please!

Viberg - please consider adding commando soles or maybe a different kind of dainite sole to the lineup. I love these Viberg boots, but I keep finding the low profile dainite sole is among the worst performing soles in wet, wintry conditions (some of my leather soled shoes and boots seem more secure)

EDIT - To be precise, I am talking about the kind of weather we are having in NY right now - fresh snow on sidewalks, slippery sidewalks, building floors and subway platforms, etc.

The country derby boot has a command sole. Take a look here: http://viberg.com/collections/footwear/products/country-derby-boot-brown-waxed-flesh

If I wear 8.5 Alden Trubalance I should be ordering a size 7.5 UK from Viberg right? So confused as to this sizing
post #2826 of 7662
Order the same size as your trubalance. Ignore the UK sizng.
Ah thanks for your help. I read Guy's post many pages back but confused with all the Brannock sizing and shit. Will go with Trubalance size
post #2828 of 7662
Alden Trubalance runs between 1/2 to full size large. For example, I am a true 10.5 in most shoes. I can get away with a 9.5 in Trubalance, but probably better off in a 10.

For Viberg, I am a 9.5 UK.

Are you talking about the 2030 last? There's tons of info on 2030 sizing compared to Alden's big boot lasts. I'd search this thread for "Trubalance." If you're not talking about the 2030, you should specify, since you could very well get different sizing advice.

Good point about the last, I just assumed 2030.

Yep I was talking about the 2030 last. I saw most people ordered their service boots in their Trubalance size but scottcw, for example, did not order his Trubalance size. I guess it just depends on how you want your boots to fit

And your particular foot.  FWIW I went with the Truebalance sizing for the 2030 last and preliminary results (havent worn them too long) are a good fit.

Actually, I am pretty close to my TruBalance size, but I didn't even mention Viberg's lasts. I can wear 9.5 in both 110 and 2030, but I would probably be happier with 10 in 2030.

So for me...

Alden Barrie = 10
Alden TruBalance = 9.5 (borderline tight, thin socks only) or 10 (room for thicker socks)
Viberg 110 = 9.5
Viberg 2030 = 9.5 (borderline tight, thin socks only) or 10 (room for thicker socks)
