My mistake. I misread in haste. Though once again, i never said anywhere that the price was fixed at $1000. In hindsight i probably shouldn't have said anything before the price was finalized, but i honestly didn't expect a discussion like this. 10% isn't even sales tax in BC.

Will shell boots continue to be lined in future or will it depend on each boot

Basically the answer is yes. We're finally happy with the lining we've sourced and will be using it on most boots that are not meant to be intentionally unlined. Most of our new patterns actually require a lining structurally, so you'll be seeing more and more of it from us.

Can you tell me boot recraft detail from Viberg.  Do you guys recraft your own boot, it seems there is no info on the website and forum and I heard people has bad experience re-crafting their shoe somewhere because of the stitched down welt.  I really want to know some info before I invest $1100 dollar on a shoe.

Thanks!

Yes! We can handle everything from minor repairs to a full rebuild. It does take longer than a dedicated shoe repair outlet since it enters an existing production line and shipping to and from Victoria can get expensive. Please email info@viberg.com for more details.

Guy - do the recent Natural Essex service boots have this 'thin material" in the toe box that you say is going into your newer models?

How do the Itshide Club Commando soles on the navy shell boot compare to the Dainite studded soles?

@johnnyrich7 how much did you pay for your shell boots? It was less expensive than $1100 as they were a sample, right? They look sick.
