Viberg Boots - Page 156

sexy boots!

I don't own a pair of Vibergs, but I would like to, so please excuse my ignorance: What is the deal with the tongue sticking way up over the top of the boot?

Last call for preorders, boys.  Tomorrow, when I wake up, I will take the preorders off the site.

Cheers,

Fok.

Just to give the dead horse one more thrash, when I got my 2030 service boots I held them against a pair of Aldens in the Barrie last and they are pretty much exactly the same length. Both are labelled 8.5. Obviously the boots fit a little differently as a function of the last - I find the heel on the 2030 a bit loose - but there you are fwiw.

How does the 2040 last fit compared to the 2030 and 110? Do you size up half like for the 2030 or do you stick to your 110 size?

With the higher toebox on the 2040, I'm assuming go with your 110 size.

^^caveat on CWP statement ... ie, if your Alden is medium width.
if you're E's, like i do on Alden Indy, you need to SU 1/2 on 2030 to account for the width ... or get another last.

btw, on the 2005, i sized the same as my Indy. imo. it's a similar profile to 2030, but more forgiving up front.

My Viberg boots in size 9.5 fit very similarly to my Alden Barrie boots size 9.5E, so you may not need to size up in length. The best way to figure this out is to obviously try on a pair.

I don't really know what to say about them. Maybe I'm being neurotic, but given the price point, I'm a bit disappointed honestly (by the right boot in case it's not clear from pictures). I guess I'll know better when I can see them in person...

The color is a lot lighter than i thought itll be but I dont dislike it
post #2337 of 6354
That was my impression of the color as well. Not what I was expecting, but still cool. Do you think I'm crazy about the instep there or whatever it's called on the right boot?
^^^ Not crazy, something's not right... Got any closer pics?

Well it's all relative of course. CXL used by Viberg is thinner than the Oil Tan produced for Viberg by Seidel, and so on.

Yeah something doesn't look right, maybe the angle of the photo. Hoping it's better in person. I mean their pricing is working for them though I think it's a bit high as well. They have the hype. Outside of the distinctive welt the first thing I thought well I opened the box was these are quite similar to Yuketens at double the price point

What exactly do you need? The one in that second set of spoiler tags is the closest I have. It's pretty big if you click it, then click original photo so it's full size. It's hard getting my sister to replicate the same angle on both boots for some reason biggrin.gif
