So ... my credit card (Chase Sapphire Preferred) ended up crediting my account for the amount I paid to Manufactum.de. They have 95 days to respond to my claim. Doubt they'd win since I have all the evidence on my side (tracking updates, emails exchanges, etc.). They can request I return the boots as well. But if I don't hear back from them ... I KEEP THEM FREE.

So up in the closet they go. Who knows, maybe they'll end up mine one day.

Lost the return shipping I paid for though since the postal service did their part. That's bullshit of Manufactum to refuse to accept my package though.

The Loden Green Service boots are going in for sure.  If you want a pair of these, and I've had several additional inquiries, please make sure to place your order by Dec 15: http://www.styleforummarket.com/viberg-loden-green-service-boots-preorders-full-payment-free-shipping-worldwide/

Cheers,

I'm having trouble imagining the Horween Loden Green color. Do we think it will look more like the olive tones of the Unionmade Loden Green PT Boot or the Oak Street Loden Green? I'm thinking the Oak Street but want to be sure.

Thanks in advance,

Jason

Unionmade

Oak Street

It's like the darkest part of that pictures, in most light.  Nearly a black green.  Of course, there is some variation from hide to hide, as you guys know, but that's from the swatch that I have right in front of me.

Cheers,

Fok.

^ What kind of leather is that specifically? Is that a CXL?

It is not a CXL, but a Horween steerhide.

how do you compare the Loden Green thinckness compare to cxl?

The welt stitching is the stitching the holds the uppers to the midsole.  On second thought though, and seeing the other loden boots, I may revert that to the usually stitching.  The black against the natural welt is too high contrast.

Okay.. Done.

The loden is slightly thicker than the CXL, which is definitely one of the thinner leathers out there.
