Some White's / Viberg comparison pics.  I would say that Viberg clearly wins on quality and craftsmanship (check out the welt pics), but I find White's more comfortable..

Curious to know as well.

^ which ones are you guys talking about?  The decade collection or the newer ones?

Alright, I'll admit it. I ordered a pair of the Stealth Edition in size 8. I needed something to fill my fix while I wait for my MTO pair. This will give me an opportunity to compare the structured (3Sixteen) vs. unstructured toe (MTO).

I suspect I'll move them along to the marketplace once my others arrive. I already know i prefer the black oil tan over the black CXL.

We have now opened up the polling for the second round of Viberg for Styleforum MTO boots: http://www.styleforum.net/t/369843/viberg-for-styleforum-mto-round-2-poll-pick-your-boots/0_50#post_6738864

In this round, it's all about the last.  On offer are a Tan Bison scout boot, essentially a tan bison version of Boondocker, but as a scout boot, rather than a service boot, a Loden Green service boot on a dainite sole, and a heather grey roughout chukka on a wedge sole (for which the orders will be capped at 4 - that's all the leather that is available, and it's reserved exclusively for this project.)

Cheers,

Fok.

I have the Scout boot in Tan Buffalo leather on the 2030 last -- it is one of my favourite boots. Love the texture on them. I highly recommend.

for people who have the icy mochas -a re you using shoe trees? the unlined toe box is so shallow whenever i try to put in trees it looks bulgey, and i'm worried about stretching.

I have the same issue! I am using trees because I feel wrong not doing it and want to preserve the boot as much as possible. I had to play around a bit though. I typically use Epic twin tube trees but they have a pretty high vamp and do not work at all. The Jos A. Bank brand Allen Edmonds trees were the ones I have settled on. They still do not fill up the toe box as much but are not protruding as much as others.

I might try going down a size. I have a bunch of different sizes for different shoes.
