A lot of chelseas and zide zips are actually blake stitched, so, even slimmer, generally, that GYW.  So it makes sense to have a welted boot for those models.  I agree that for a workwear style boot, I prefer the stitchdown, generally, if just because I am sorta about historical details that way.  For in between boots, like country boots based roughly on English boots, GYW was a history, and welts in general, and I am about 50/50 on those.

Cheers,

Fok.

I wanna say that's an MTO from way back. IMO the black gloxi cut would be better but I'd be down either way.

I like it when you use big words! My comments were not meant be against women. I was simply to trying to expresss there has been a lot of complaining about what choices Viberg makes and a huge amount of jockeying for position. I have a wife and daughter so let's not pretend that 1 week a month is challenging. If anybody takes the fact that happens and I compare it to the bitching and whining on this Forum as hatred towards women is Stupid right back at you rutabaga!

All that aside, you should have known that there were better ways to express the same sentiment that would not derail the conversation.

You had your say, and he had his.  Let's stop it right here so I don't need to delete posts.  Let's everyone get back to discussing Viberg boots, please.

Cheers,

Fok.

Haven's In-House brand Cypress did a collab similar to what you are describing. It was a scout boot with rubberized leather on top of a gloxi-cut sole. I would probably be in on a boot with a similar style, if that's what people want. I've been searching for a solid black rough out scout.

A roughout scout boot on ripple would be cool

.

Whoops, nm. Misunderstood the quoted post.

a stitchdown sneaker boot would be cool. I think Fok had tried to create something along those lines early on.

I think this kind of design is getting pretty close:

I can't decide if the Service or Scout pattern looks closer to the snakerboot/casual look.
