2030 GYW it is hahaha:cheers:

In other news the Hopper's look to be above expectations on Instagram, glad I didnt bail on the leather change.  They seem to have Aged Bark coming out of the demon hole but it sure looks nice on these.

Those look sweet.

Now where were we, discussing a stitch-down shell boot on the 2030 last (again)?

Aside from the buckle, they look like uggs.

My first time ordering from Viberg:

I ordered these Viberg Service Boots (first 2 pictures below) in brown CXL size 7.5, but they were too tight in the toes.  Especially the right foot, the boot was pinching on my pinky toe.

(I wear 7.5 in Alden Barrie last, and 8.0 in Alden Indy TrueBalance last, 8.5 in Alden snuff suede chukkas, and 9.0 in Nike sneakers.)

The Viberg quality is great, as expected.  Fast shipping. I didn't see any defects, and the packing was nice. The CXL leather is thicker and heavier than any other CXL leather I have seen (Alden, Wolverine).  I would expect these to be extremely durable.  I don't care for the shiny metal eyelets in person though

I am returning these because of the fit, since I do not expect them to stretch at all given the thickness of the leather.

Next, I got these Service Boots in brown kangaroo in size 8.0.  They fit much better, no pinching or slippage, and still some room to wiggle my toes wearing thick socks.  It is comfortable straight out of the box, but it will need some breaking in.  (It is not quite as comfortable as Alden Indy).  The leather is slightly thinner than CXL and less shiny.  The leather seems to be more pliable.  Again, no defects seen by me.  I like the lack of metal eyelets on the outside since it looks cleaner (there are metal eyelets on the inside).  Both are 2030 last.  This model does not have the longer tongue protruding above the boot, which I liked on the CXL model.

I am keeping these.  The fit is good, although some details are not perfect (I would have like a longer tongue and the thicker leather laces).  Good experience, even though I made an initial sizing error.

Lunch Break - Breaking in my new Ebony Latigo. Love this rich brown color. Trying to decide if the new Horween waxed harness leather Vibergs being released by 3 Sixteen tomorrow is different enough. Completely different leather, but similar color tone. I really like the look of them. Hmmmm.

Disagree - I really dont know how you reach that conclusion particularly since they dont even have a sole attached in the photo unless you just mean the color.  I dont own any Uggs although Ive seen them in the street and Aged Bark is different.

I think the "partially" structured toe ensures they avoid any possibility of the above.
