Anyone have any pics of how natural chromepack ages with wear? Thanks in advance.

Here are some photos of the size difference I recieved from sd vs gyw if anyone is interested.

I got word back from Viberg that those boots were indeed sized correctly and the same size as their SD counterparts by sticking the last back in them. Pictures and on feet feel tell a wildly different story. I'm bowing out of those boots and just eating the shipping charges. Now I'm not sure if I should go up a .5 or what if I ever even make a future GYW purchase.

That's confusing. How can it be the same last if the heel sits further back?

They're both built on the 2030. Myself as well as some others figured they might have been mismarked at the factory, but Viberg said they are both 2030 8.5 and built on identical lasts as stichdown. I know when I put my foot in it was nothing like my other pairs, tight all around and my toebox was extremely cramped. Stitchedown has a wider footprint due to how its made, but the internal volume should be identical according to them, but it wasnt in my case.

odd. my 11.5s are both 2030 and are pretty damn close

yeah that looks exactly the same. Who knows if they were just saving their ass on having to return shipping costs or what.

IMO, they should eat shipping. It just doesn't make sense how far off your two pair look, but I don't know how to make boots

Yeah, I don't see how they could say they're the same.

If you wanted to, you could try to make a tracing of the insole and compare those.

I think that there is a decent chance of this, but it will be less "wild west", and I'll probably have to exercise veto power for aesthetic reasons more often.

I think that I have a decent understanding of what Brett would like as representative of Viberg, and what not.  I think that in the future, we'll open the floor up to suggestions, but if something is not going to go, I'll just say, immediately, and we'll cease discussion of that make up, because, frankly, if something is not going to fly, having the read someone continue to campaign for that thing would just be aggravating.

We'll see though.  But what I've learned, not just from Viberg, but from any vendor, is that yes, sometimes it hurts to ask.  You need to wait for the right opportunity to crop up, and then make good bets on good hands and fold on bad ones.

Wow. Your photos very clearly illustrate the size difference between the two boots. It's a shame that Viberg won't do the right thing by you - and not what's easiest for them - with the simple, professional gesture of refunding the shipping charges. I commend your reserved response my friend, as I'd be both insulted and irate at their black hole of customer service.

Once again, kind of happy they made the latest brown waxed flesh 310's with a cap toe so I'm not pulling the trigger on some boots I don't need. Those would be so perfect without the cap toe. Pics on on their Insta.

I really haven't seen anything truly different or interesting in the past couple months. I don't own any Trumans and I'm not promoting them by any means but the leathers on their Instagram are pretty sick comparative.

I used to prefer the cap toe on the 310 but I wholeheartedly agree with you. The plain toe is infinitely better. But always nice to see a 310 makeup at a US retailer.

I love the cap toe on the 310!  Like these boots a lot, though the heel is a bit massive for me -- both looks wise but also I always feel like I am teetering on tall heels like this.  If I could justify these boots I'd get em and lower the heel, but alas there is no justifying another pair right now...
