Viberg Boots - Page 117

Agreed with meso. I'm a 8.5 in Alden Indy on Trubalance last & a 8 or even a 7.5(a little tight) in Viberg oxford on 110 last.

Hi! If anyone have a Viberg service boots US8D that's collecting dust and would like to sell it kindly PM me. Thanks!

Has anyone bought this make up direct from Viberg's online site ? Any thoughts, comments etc. Thanks

coming back to them..

My Aldens are at least 9.5 D. Sounds like the Viberg shoes would be too small unfortunately.. But thanks for your help anyway

Yep, bought them and couldn't be happier. the 110 last is very comfortable, the construction and materials are absolutely superb, and I love how they're aging.

Quick pic as I'm wearing them today; as I am... Most days now to be honest, even sold my Alden Indys last week as they get zero wear now I've got these and more Vibergs incoming.

  Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Did you go down half a size on these relative to your 2030 last size?

I'm on the same boat as you regarding retiring my Indys. Ever since I picked up one of the 3sixteen boots, I barely touch my Aldens any more!

Hey mate,

Same size in both lasts. The 110 is shorter but wider than the 2030. I have quite narrow feet, so the narrowness of the 2030 doesn't really affect me so much.

Fantastic looking boot. A bit more rugged than the 2030 last. I bet they'll get/look better with every wear.........thumbs-up.gif

Thanks chaps, loving these boots even more as they get some wear and tear.

Arizor, are the vamps lined, or is the whole upper unlined?
rough-outs are usually single layer.
smooth inside, so no need for lining.
however, suede/nubuck in another matter.
I'm assuming its totally unlined, which would be consistent with original service shoes/boondockers. However, wanted to check. Few boots look as badass as a well-worn pair of boondockers! Hopefully someday ill get a pair...

The vamp is always lined. It's an integral part of the construction actually. The rest of the boot only gets lined if the leather is soft/thin enough to need the extra support, though some people custom order it for aesthetic reasons too.
