I saw some as well. I am interested in the 310 last. Maybe we can get a GMTO going on it at some point.

I was there on Friday and Sunday. I didn't look too far beyond my own size on the first day, but I saw one #8 cxl 310 with a brogued captoe, in a 9.5. Only because it was the first table you walk past from the door and I saw one, aged bark in a 6. There may have been more but I didn't see any, and I was looking 😉

I picked up those #8 310s in 9.5. Had my eye on them in line hoping nobody picked them up before I was let in the store. Luckily the 310 isn't appealing to most people since ~80 people were in there before me. I'll post pics later today.

Haha, well done.  I contemplated buying them to look at, only joking, but when I saw them from the door I was hopeful for me until I was not.  Good to know they went to someone who will really enjoy them.

I went today as well. Everything was massively picked over. Most amusing were the several guys who apparently were proxying or whatever for other people. These kids would hoard a dozen pairs of boots, frantically photograph them, and then preside over their stash while waiting for text message responses. Interesting way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the Summer.

You seem pretty familiar with the boots. Do you know what leather the boots are made from?

I don't. Email Guy at Viberg.com.

They remind me a lot of the matte black calf seen here:

Here is what I was able to pick up from the sample sale on Friday.

Tan latigo derby on 1035 with Dainite sole- size 10, GYW

#8 brogue cap toe service boot on 310 with cats paw heel, vibram half soles- size 9.5, stitch down

Black dyed through oil tan on 2005 (I believe) with vibram soles- size 10D, stitch down

One of the engineer boots has dyed black stitching on the vamp but the other boot has white stitching. I prefer the white stitching instead but for only 100, it doesn't matter. I have another pair of brown cxl engineers in 9.5 E, but the 10D pair is a better fit for me since my toes are pretty close to the end on the 9.5 engineers. The width feels about the same but the shaft feels a bit tighter probably due to the thicker leather.

Kudos to the person who originated the "half Japanese" model and to those who backed it.

Out of curiosity, why was it called the "half Japanese"?

rockin mine today.  probably my fave pair of bergs that i own.
