Liking the 2040 last more and more from that picture

The 2040 seems to be the perfect compromise between dressy and workboot. Not too heavy in either camp

Those are very sleek looking. Are they heavy ? I know nothing about Vibergs...

Am I the only one not thrilled about the 2040 Last? The cap looks too long, collapsed and wide. I figured 2030 is more to my likings, and this just confirmed it.

I wonder how people choose a last. I choose one based on shape of my feet, not on its look.

But for most people, there are more than just one lasts that fit. Among these models that fit, you can have preference based on looks. For me, it is only the 110 and now also 2040 that I would avoid.

I'm jealous of people like you who has narrow feet. I have to stick to wide lasts unfortunately...

Completely agree. I've always wondered why people insist on Alden's modified last, originally created for orthopedic shoes, because they feel it looks "sleek."

No one commented on this shoe - isn't it fantastic? Is that something inside out? Horween printing all over.. How many eyelets? Which last?

I'm too cheap to use a shell cordovan in that way(though they look seriously amazing). I hope the day will come when I own enough shoes & boots in shell cordovan & I'm ready to try something different like those reverse shell cordovan boots.
