They look great, and in my opinion, the oil tan is well suited to be a rough weather boot. I imagine it would take well to something like Obenauffs  if you really needed more weather protection. Still kicking myself for not picking up a pair i saw on grailed over a year ago.

I too was swayed by Notre's recent 25% sale and jumped on the #110 Mocha Vintage on commando. They came in yesterday and I'm quite pleased. They certainly have a texture to the quarters that's not present on the vamp and heel counter. I assume that's due to the fact that these sections are stretched over the last. IMO, it's not the dehydrated scrotum that I was worried about (bullet officially dodged @NYDRH :)).

I went with the same size as my 2040 Vibergs and while slightly roomier, they fit very well. For my wide-ish feet, this is the right size. I really love the look of the 110 last. It's such a classic workboot last and exactly what I anticipated. GYW isn't as much of an impact as I thought. Lastly, commando sole is beefy! These will be a great New England winter boot.

I don't see them getting a ton of wear until the fall, but they sure look good!

Leather looks good, glad you  like'em.  Thanks for the pics.

Yeah they look great. I would pick up but I already have two Vibergs on the 110 and a pair of white's semi-dress boots that are nearly identical. Some days I wish I had the salary of some of you guys, but most days I remember that I'm lucky to be able to buy even a few pairs.

You make a good point about the Whites. SD's do have the classic work boot aesthetic that I always liked as well. I still want to try out the arch ease but I certainly don't need another pair of workboots.

Has anyone conditioned any Aged Bark grain side leather?  If so, any thoughts recommendations?

Thx

What did you use?

I just use neutral shoe cream.  The original color is good but I wear darker denim and after conditioning they are a better match for that in my opinion.

Thanks - yes it is an unusual color, I kind of like it as is but a little darker is nice too

Your welcome! If i was mostly wearing chinos I would stay with the original color.

The 110s look phenomenal! So much negativity has been put into Viberg's GYW models over the past year or so. All things being equal I prefer stitchdown over GYW; I have 6 pairs in stitchdown and two pairs in GYW. A couple of models came out in GYW, which I preferred over stitchdown. First was the Mahagony shell pair. I missed the boat on the shell with stitchdown, but I believe GYW should help over time with multiple resolings on shell. The other GYW was the black oil tan scouts on the Vibram Morflex sole. I didn't know if I wanted a completely blacked out boot, so the 360 degree natural welt makes it a more versatile boot in my opinion. I also considered that the Morflex wears down a bit faster than most other sole choices. Again, it seemed appropriate for it to be on GYW.

I will also consider some of their sleeker looking Derby shoes and Chelsea boots on GYW in the future. The color 8 derby from Lost and Found looked amazing to me!

We all prefer stitchdown over here but I'd also like to point out their GYW models can be appropriate depending on the makeup. 3/4 of my Vibergs are stitchdown, but that doesn't mean that Viberg can't make a decent boot in GYW.

Edited for misspellings.
