I'd say buy it if it's what you like and dont let the discount influence you, although if you get a discount and its something you want hard to argue. As Met said, it is GYW for me I'd rather wait for something stitchdown that has a similar looking leather.  Also without having seen much of that mocha vintage other than a few pics on the company's website and Notre's, I did see that guy's pic from a few weeks back that looked terrible like a dehydrated ballbag, which may be a feature of that vintage ;)

Beautiful boot. Nice brown color.

It's not stitch down but for $532 I can see how it would be hard to pass up.

The GYW was the only thing holding me back. In the end, I decided that $532 was just too good to pass up. I'll now have one stitchdown and one GYW. Looking forward to trying out the commando sole. My roughout Vibergs will probably be due for a resole after next season and I always figured I'd resole with commando. Now I can try it out first.

I can live with GYW but the aforementioned dehydrated scrotum look would be reason to return :satisfied:.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I have a feeling those posted a little while back where an anomaly and you should get a a boot that has been assembled scrote free.  Would be interested to hear your thoughts GYW vs. Stitchdown after a little time (aesthetically and feel)

Having enjoyed their work boots, I ordered my first Viberg service boot from Brooklyn Clothing...I am excited...dusty calf...2030...partially structured toe...stitch-down...no toe cap...Dainite studded sole...9 eyelets. I hope that's enough eyelets. :-)

As an aside, heard a rumor that Brett is working on a boot made from rough-out Cape buffalo scrotum leather. It has the unique property of shrinking when you buff it or in cold weather.

Hi, could someone give me some information on these shoes please? Slightly darker than the photo suggests but not far off, recently purchased and they seem in really good condition.

Thanks

The look like the 145 Work oxford on a Vibram ripple sole.  Stitchdown construction.  Looks like maybe, maybe, copper task roughout, which used to be used a fair bit?  Hard to tell the last from this angle.  A top down shot would tell us for sure.  Looks like a makeup that Superdenim did a few years back.

Appreciate the fast response, this is the only other photo I have on my drive at the moment.

I bought these from somebody called Glenn Kitson who says he got them directly from Brett Viberg?? Regardless of where they are from I like them.

Happy unboxing today with these Natty, they are a bit too clean to wear. Need to add some creases like those behind 😄

Wore these pretty hard for a few days then decided to clean them up. Came out pretty well. 14oz Natural Shell. (Sorry about the gross carpet.)
