You can buy professionally-made versions (called "heel pads" or similar - often for women's shoes) but all they are is what you're describing.
I've tried them on two pairs of shoes. In neither case did they save the day.
One broke in enough that I didn't need them when tightly-laced, the other wasn't working so I sold em.
YMMV of course. They're cheap so whatever, give it a shot!
Anyone ever use anything to fill out a part of their boot that feels loose? My entire boot feels great, and the heel is pretty good, but if it were just a tad more snug... I was wondering what would happen if I put some moleskin along the cup. THought?S
