Viberg Boots - Page 1087

I went with the natural waxed flesh from the recent release. Im still not 100% on sizing as I don't own any other Vibergs but I'll find out soon enough.

My waxed flesh 'bergs seem to be lost in transit hell.  Canada Post tracking says they cleared customs on the 10th and delivery expected on the 15th.  :puzzled:

My past shipments arrived just fine.  I guess they will get here when they get here.

That'll be a fantastic first pair. My Brown WF boots have been amazing for me and are wearing in beautifully, and I'm excited to use my 110-last Natural Waxed Flesh boots as my go-to winter boots next year.

Thanks, MRporter concused me by putting a 'US' there, I guess I will have to order a size 9, no half sizes availables.

What model are you looking at? It really depends on the last.

Generally the 1035 last is good a half size down from your brannock. Viberg 1035 is a little more roomy than an Alden barrie last in the same size.

In other news, some ICE agent has some nice new boots...

And complaining why his cheap new boots are starting to look worn after only a couple of days...

So, I finally decided to rip off the bandaid. My size 10 natty shell for 14oz 2030s are going up for sale, on the reddit b/s/t thread. They are gorgeous and still the best boots I've ever owned. And so wonderfully patina'd. But time to just recognize I probably needed a size 10.5 or 11, 10 is just not right for me on this last.

Too bad Vibergs don't shrink in the wash. I'd be all over that!

Thanks for the feedback guys! I was torn between this and the natty cxl from lost and found but also really wanted natty rough out. This waxed flesh is a perfect middle ground. The tan (to dark over time) color is great. As far as sizing, my feet are a total mess. My left is a solid 11.5D/E brannock, left is 11C/D, and neither foot measures over an 11 in length (the left might JUST eclipse it) so sizing is usually corrected in the thickness of the sock. Im really excited for them. My girlfriend likes them but can't comprehend why I only want boots (always), especially this time of year, and not shoes. I just shake my head, laugh, and remind her that its something she will never understand.

Hopefully I have more luck than @lifeinabox and they don't get lost in the black hole of US customs. I hope they turn up soon for you.

I have worn my Brown Fat Waxed Flesh boots all through South Florida summers. And 2 days in a row. Comfy as all heck.

I don't understand the seasonal appropriation of boots, whatever leather they are.

I wore my Garage boots too all summer.

My poor Smoke Reverse Kudus were once my superstars. But they don't get worn much since I received my Fat Waxed. But they were my Viberg Maiden Voyage boots so I owe them more wear.

If your tootsies are gonna get warm in the summer, wear your Vibergs with shorts! :slayer:

Ha! Not about the heat, there are just other boots I'd rather wear in the summer! It's time for my Chelsea boots to shine!

Derby owners: do you find that they fit differently than boots on the same last? My grey calf derbies are definitely narrower. I'm wondering if it'll be the same with other derbies

I'll be able to tell you in a few days.

Have the black horse hide 1035 derbies on the way. I ordered my usual size.
