If it's helpful, I thought the 14oz derbies looked the same as the black calf derbies on the Viberg site, which are on the 2045 last.

In case anyone is interested, I had my 14oz derbies at the office and brought them home last night to compare to my 2030 boots.  The derbies definitely are not 2030.  Meso mentioned they might be 2045, but the toe isn't quite that pronounced.  I'm thinking they are on 2040 since they seem to fit almost the same as my 2030s.  The derbies are just a tad shorter vs the 2030 in the same size.  I would expect the 2045 or 1035 to fit bigger vs these.  Does anyone have or hear of Viberg releasing derby shoes in 2040?  I will put some pictures up later this week.

Do you mean the Route 10s? If so, what size?

I'm happy to let this rest, though I can't help but respond once more to your fantasy that you are somehow having an effect on Viberg by occasionally making posts of this kind in this thread. The only person "benefitting" is you and your ego (as it manifests itself here). The heat turned up a bit? Maybe with your mismatched eyelet placement - admittedly a huge blunder.

Clarifying my point for those who need it doesn't mean I'm changing my point or being passive aggressive. There isn't a "really meant to say" thing or veiled meaning going on here. You sure are clueless about what passive aggression means. Seriously.

And for shits and giggles, here's another year-old Viberg pair someone shared with me since we've started this discussion. But hey, "handmade" and "character," right? Funny how these quality issues of late and "well, these shouldn't have gone out the door" exception-to-the-norms have been going on for so long.

For a guy who owns multiple Vibergs (from what you say) and spends a lot of time posting here, you sure seem to think they are a second rate company. Your crusade to show the world their true colors via the clothes nerd forum is amusing though. Keep it up!

Certainly not a second rate company, there are just some of us noticing quality control slipping and wanting them to tighten it up, to keep them from falling from the desirable company they are.

First rate materials and build, just asking they keep uo on Quality control and the like.

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to size if buying from Mr Porter? As they are showing 'US' size, is that the 'Viberg size?'(I have a pair of viberg size 8.5).

thanks

Viberg only does one size, Viberg size. If you're 8.5 fit, order the same.

Thanks, MRporter concused me by putting a 'US' there, I guess I will have to order a size 9, no half sizes availables.

But, but .. I'm so passive!

Anyway, I never said Viberg was a second-rate company, nor do I believe they are. I feel like quality control is an easy fix, and they clearly need it.

What's amusing is you misreading every post of mine. First you don't even know what passive aggression is, yet accuse me of it for speaking my mind. Now you claim I'm asserting Viberg is a second-rate company which I've never alluded to. There's no true colors that need to be exposed on my part. I'm simply a longtime customer who would love to see Viberg hold onto their rep as a quality product maker. Otherwise, why would I own so many pairs myself, including an MTO back when they had the program available? Other posters here feel the same as me. But you feel personally slighted because I offered my take on your two-tone pair.
