Last time a lot if crap happened from finding out we could not do stitchdown on some leathers to different soles etc.

This time should be pretty easy...here is the leathers for stitchdown, here is the leathers for gyw...here are the styles available...and away we go.

It's an iterative process, is the issue. A flowchart like you describe is, possibly for the better, not realistic because the leathers are changing constantly, Brett is constantly innovating, etc...

Realistically, what I outlined already is a best case scenario. I don't know how to make that more clear.

Would you have any insight if Viberg is planning to do any 360 degree welts? I like the look of splitt welts on 360 more than 270...just curious

There would be changes and straight up eliminations. The implicit explanation would be simply "this is/is not where Viberg wants to go." We are not a tiny stockist, but we are a pita. This program is a personal favor, unique amongst stockists, and we don't have a right to it. So let's keep that in perspective before anyone posts about how much value we bring, etc... or any argument that suggests that we deserve special treatment.

I am going to need a buy in to this process from you guys to credibly go to Brett and Guy with this proposal. They may still say no. Otherwise, we'd just act as a regular stockist, with some informal consultation. Or we get nothing. Those are the real options on the table, so no need to complain about them, unless you just want to explode the ship for everyone else.

Cheers,

Fok.

PS. A flowchart list is not possible. We can make a best guess, but don't be shocked if a makeup that is technically okay us changed or even 86ed. Aesthetic consideration s cannot be easily formalized.

I look forward to seeing what happens.  Thanks

I really don't know.  Last time I communicated with Brett was back in December, and then most of the conversation was about his donation of the MTO boots for the Ronald McDonald Charity Drive, which, btw, brought the most money to the charity than any other single item.  We raised over $18K in total for the charity, so, hats off to you guys.

I'm in as well Fok.  It is understood that it will be a privilege and not a right.  We are not entitled and that has been made clear.

On another note, I was wondering if anyone could recommend what size I'd be in an engineer boot- 2005 last?  I'm a 10 in 2030 and a 9.5 in the 110. Thank you in advance.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi guys

I'm looking to get my first pair of vibergs and am looking at the vintage mocha.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on these being the first pair of vibergs for a young office worker living in the city?

Also what's the general procedure when sizes sell out on the viberg.com site? Do they generally get restocked or not?

Thanks!!

Most of the make-ups on .com don't get remade after their initial run. Some do get regularly remade: e.g. (natural, brown, no 8) chromexcel 2030 service boots on dainite soles.

Re-stocks are far between. If they have your size, jump on it.
There is plenty of sizing info in this thread.

I love my Vibergs but "office worker"

I could not and would not wear these to my office just a heads up.  Im assuming you are referring to a more casual office but just to caution you on more conservative environs.

Sorry the office worker bit was just to describe myself rather than what I'd be wearing them for.

Very interesting though, thanks for the responses guys. They look so pretty I feel like I'm under a spell

Check out the bison 2030s that Notre has.  I think those are much cooler, and in a similar color tone.

The black pit bison..? Only bison pair I can see on Notre. Hmm I think I'm more after a variation of brown for my first pair. Are you not a fan of the vintage mocha?

Yes, I meant the black pit bison.  If you take a closer look at the photos on both vibergs site and notres you can see there is alot of brown undertones, its not black as in pure black.  I like the uniqueness and texture of the buffalo much more appealing to me than a typical calfskin.  Vintage mocha is just another name for brown leather.  As others have mentioned they rarely do restocks of the exact same thing, but for the most part they are all just different shades of brown in various types of tannage. whether it is "coffee chromepack", Icy Mocha CXL", "frozen vanilla latte with spice or whatever its all just a shade of brown.  There are some types of tannage that will give you different characteristics but its mostly just marketing in the names so go with a color you like and dont think too much about it.  I personally am not a big CXL fan, you will get different opinions depending on who you speak to.  And hopefully without ruffling too many feathers, I like the bison on notre for being stitchdown construction rather than goodyear welted.

How often does Viberg release a 10 eyelet 2030 or something similar ? I don't have a lot of experience with the company but I think it's the best look Ive seen so far. I'm trying to find my first pair to purchase but I want something a little different than the standard 7 eyelet CXL.
