I'm interested to see what sneak peeks we can get from the FW 2016 exhibit for buyers coming up in the next few days.

I think that about sums it up -

If the GMTO happens again, I would like to see a 310 stitchdown - Im flexible on almost every other detail

310 No Toe Cap

Fatty Calf (Might be an interesting Juxtaposition between the fine leather and the workboot)

Stitchdown

Vibram Sole

Vintage Brass Eyelets

Several people missed out on the half japanese oxford. Not me but I've read a bunch of lamenting posts.

Any momentum for that to be a HOF selection?

I am stocked to the gills with Viberg brown boots so I will keep an eye open here for other colors such as black.

Has the ECHO boot faded into the ether?

If GMTO ever becomes a reality again. Count me in for something 310.

Funny.

Probably wouldn't stop me either if something really great came along in brown as I'm not really stocked to the gills with brown. Just wear the fat waxed and garage all the time(soon the Route 10) and don't think anything can break that rotation. I've even neglected my smoke reverse kudus and half japanese which surprises me.

I'm ready for the announcement for formulations to begin!

I would've done either the black HH boot or derby on .com if they were stitchdown construction (likely beige calf derby too).
For the GMTO I'm interested in a kickass derby or chukka (I missed the chukka last go around and am kicking myself).

A derby would be interesting. A derby would seem appropriate on a 2030? Well, a dress derby maybe.

How about a brown suede derby sort of like this:

Carmina Rain

Even w/o stitchdown, might be outside Viberg sensibility to do such a dress shoe.

Kickass Derby for me too would be great -

I am all on board for that being a HOF shoe..I would even be down for doing the Half Japanese with a captoe if that generated more appeal as some of the Half Japanese owners might want it.

I received my 2030 Charcoal Calf in 8 today.

I had some concerns about sizing but went with the recommendation from the folks at Viberg.

The Alden Indys below are 8.5 and the 2 boots are almost the same in length.

As reference, I'm 9 on the brannock, 9D in my AE shoes, 8.5D in Rancourt loafers.

The Indys are a bit wider in the forefoot and thus, a bit more comfortable (suede also helps), but I appreciate the more slender profile of the 2030.

Since I'm in CA and I wear dress socks, the 2030s are not too snug width-wise and in terms of toe wiggle room, they're in between the indys and my dress shoes.

The heel is locked in nicely and I have enough room between the front and toe.

The one concern I have it this crease on the outside of one boot. It's a bit softer than the other boot in the same spot and doesn't seem like a dent made by the edge of something hard.

It definitely is a crease of some sort, though none of my other shoes have creases in this spot after much wear.

Any thoughts on if this is acceptable as part of the guidi leather patina/variability/character?

The rest of the boot is great, stitching is spot on, reverse welt is smooth and even and the calf leather with lining is surprisingly thick.

That sucks. I would want a replacement.
