Just wanted to share a pic of my vibergXironheart boot
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
sry for crappy phone pic
Thanks for sharing...I always like to see these boots...one of these days I will probably get one.
@Aviv I see where you referenced End's Vibergs...are you familiar with them at all? Just curious as the tan shoe they have up says GYW yet the picture does shoe two distinct lines of stitching like a stitchdown. Clearly I wish they would do the GYW with two lines rows of stitching but I was wondering if you had any other details on it.
I find a bunch of images on End's sight odd...not sure if it is how they stuffed the boots for photos but the Vamps all look weird to me and the trench boot in latigo no way looks like the 2045. I have to say though that it looks like the trench pattern got refined a touch and without the contrast white stitching the Boondocker it actually looks really good.

Thank you Mghart, postal and Kahuna for your advice. Sorry to hijack this thread.
Back to Viberg!
Looking good, after complaining about mine was going to wear them today but can't fit them on with a thicker sock...too cold for thin socks. How does your fit? mine seem to have extra room in the toe/vamp area. I would not change the size but just curious if you noticed that. Also if you get a chance can you post a picture of the toe profile of yours?
Thanks for the follow up...mine seem to have that bit of floating upper were the toe of the boot you can see curling under to be stitched...not sure if that makes sense or not. I see that on a lot of their GYW shoes/boots.
Thanks for the pic and yes a lot of what I deem dress lasts seem to have that with flat welts. I like the toe like the below Alden more than the Viberg pictured. Alden's dress lasts boots/shoes also have that curved under look. Just not something I really like on what I consider a casual boot like Vibergs. I think overall it is why the Viberg GYW does not appeal to me especially on the 2030. Have they done any flat welted lasts other than the 2030 and the Monico Boondocker?
example of similar in an Alden
Ah see them now - thanks, from the profile thought it was the 2030 I will have to go look at Notre site.
Edit - Yeah Notre is 1035 too. would be curious to see a 2045 GYW top down in a calf side out leather.
As a guy with slightly narrow and slightly low volume feet, I find the 9.5D in the Viberg 151xCSA (steel toe) to be just a tad shorter than ideal, though my big toe was fine after a fairly good hike up and down some hills in them. I also found them a tad roomier, volume-wise, than I absolutely ideal, even with the insert that Viberg included. That said, most guys would just say they fit well. I am not sure what last this is and whether the steel toe affects length in the toe box. Does anybody know?
As a reference, I have Allen Edmonds Park Avenues in a 10D that fit pretty well with dress socks, but maybe are a touch wide/bigger volume that ideal...should try a 10C sometime. My AE Leeds in 10D seem to fit a little better. I somewhere between 10C or D and a 10.5 C on a Brannock. My toes are a little short and my arches, thus, a little long. I've been told my arches are a solid 10.5. Most of my athletic shoes are 10.5, some are even 11. I was wearing orthotics, so I don't blame the sales guy, but I have Alden Barrie last shell chukkas in 10D, which are definitely too wide for me and probably too long, as well. My Alden Indies are 9.5D, but feel a little too wide.
My White's Semi-Dress in 9.5D are a little roomy for me, probably about the right length. My Nicks on 55 last in 9.5D fit pretty well. My Nicks on HNW last in 10D also fit pretty well. Sometimes, I wonder if the the arch hit my right well in both the Semi-Dress and Nick's 55, but that might just be my problem with plantar fasciitis.
Would people think that I would do best with the 2030 last? Again, which last are the 151xCSA on? Would you advise 9.5 on the 2030, or going up to a 10?
With the exchanges rates, I'm seeing that buying from Canadian retailers seems wise...
Thanks for all your help, in advance!
