Count me in for a pair of 2045 Boondockers with structured (or partially structured) toe and corded sole.

Well said, but unstructured toe is right way to make a Boondocker and contributes to the old-school appeal and what comes to mind when you think vintage Boondocker.

I felt the unstructured on the 2045...perhaps due to the GYW looked very "Uggish"

The flat welt pronounces the 2045 bubble toe way too much making it look kinda ugly. Stichdown on the 2045 way better visually and giving the 2045 bubble toe a balanced look.

Anybody have pictures of Notre's natty cxl/ripple sole or black pit bison makeups in the wild? Haven't seen either of those posted in this thread yet.

I don't know how wild my kitchen is, but I posted pics of the ripple soles on Page 984 of this thread. I'm also selling them. After wearing a handful of times and the CXL stretching a little, I just feel like the fit is a little off on me. Great boots, though.

Thanks...missed those pics when scrolling through the images in gallery view.

I've been waiting for @BootSpell to get his pair of the black pit tanned bison.  I think he should be getting them soon.

Why don't we let @LA Guy work with Viberg to come up with the available variables and let us know.

It appears that we need to trust his judgment and leadership in this instance.

Boots/Derbies on 2030 have been some of the best looking and highest #. Sale boots made by Styleforum.

It maybe a common last but we still produce some kick ass boots with it.

No last should be off the table, if it fits the vibe of the boot. Roll with it.

FedEx just delivered the pit tanned bison boots.  Haven't had a chance to inspect them or try them on yet but on first glance, they look like beasts!  The Vibram 705 1/2 sole is a monster (very thick, not like most 1/2 soles).  This Vibram sole plus the midsole makes for the thickest soled Vibergs I own.

I'll post pics soon, if not today, then in the next few days.

You can get 2030s anywhere.   Just about every stocklist is almost exclusively 2030, with a few 1035 exceptions.   Let's use the SF MTO opportunity to get something that you can't get, which is about anything on the 110 and very limited 2045s.

END clothing will be stocking Viberg, is there any one who is not going to carry Viberg......................

Took some pics of the black pit tanned bisons.  My earlier impression was correct; these boots are beasts. Although they are on the "dressier" 2030 last, each boot weighs in at over 2lbs!  And that's for my small boot size (7).  Also as expected, these boots aren't really totally black.  At first glance, they do look black but are really a very deep, dark brown.  The midsole combination with the Vibram 705 1/2 sole is really thick. Although they are quite comfortable, the soles will definitely take a long time to flex more easily.

I like the looks of these boots, but the pics show an almost imbalance in the ratio of the vamp and/or eyelets and shaft to the whole length of the boot.  But I think it's because of the small size of my boots.  A larger size boot would likely not show this imbalance.  For my size boot, the 2030 last looks better with a cap toe.  I'm happy with these boots although maybe not ecstatic as I have been with others.  They're different enough that they'll have a good place in my rotation.
