Thank you!! That's very helpful. My family is always making fun of me for all the shoes I own but I'm certainly happy to put up with it after this...

Both photos are of the same pair right?  They almost look like 2040 to me but I don't know.  I almost thought they were the Context Horse Butt but the sole is different.  I would send the photos to Viberg and have them help you identify them.

Wow-thank you! I took a look and the leather seems identical, but you're right that the sole and last are obviously different. I've tried emailing Viberg already but didn't hear back but I'll try again. Much appreciated!

Eyelets, stitching, and lining are also different. My guess is that these were sold as a sample that was possibly R&D for the Context build, or they are from an Asian or European stockist that does not have s website.
Also, no Viberg tags inside the boot, only the regular Viberg stamp at the heel with the size.

I think they're on holiday break right now / factories are closed.  They should get back to you when they reopen up.

Any issues with the tongue sliding off to the side of your foot after walking for a while?

regarding the partial gusset...looks like it's full-on loose, based on this sample sale post on reddit

I thought there was 4 photos when I answered 2 of one boot and 2 of another boot....- Horsebutt does not have that wrinkling on the vamp at all - very smooth

I did and have pictures of them + denim on page 984 of this thread.

There were two. I purchased the pair in question, so maybe that is why the picture was removed.
I am curious about the make-up too, so I will post a few of the pics Inmamy sent me.

One more

I decided to order some Viberg work boots, as I enjoy larger boots.  Now, I am eagerly following a pair as they make their way from Victoria, BC to Philadelphia, PA.  I doubt I will be able to give them the kind of exercise they crave, but one never knows.  I rationalize such purchases by thinking about the zombie apocalypse, for example.

I chose the Contractor 151 X CSA in 9.5D, which is the size I wear in most work boots, and following Jason Viberg's advice...

I will try to compare them to my similar White's.

Regards,

Jon

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

This looks like Olive Guidi Calf for the leather.  Maybe 1035 last (not sure on this one).

Has anyone try Saphir's Super Invulner Spray? Is it a good waterproof treatment for my new boondocker?
