That's fine. Id really like to stick with fewer eyelets though. It's something that looks great I've seen on older Viberg makeups, plus it would set this apart a bit. I'm a bit tired of the 7-8 eyelet boots. The 5 have a nice old timey look, something fitting for the 310 in my opinion.

The natural shell looks amazing!  Do you know the date of the pre-order?  Is it still on a new last or 2030?  I know I asked this earlier, but who can share any details of the new last and how is it different vs. the 2030?

Congratulations on your natural shell Akeem!  Is it 2030 or the new last?

Got word from PTC that the black waxed flesh bad seed are in production.  Unfortunately they had to change it from 10 eyelets to 8.  Not sure how I feel about that.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm in the same boat with you, but I think it should still look the same... Though I do wish Viberg and the PTC and Notre, in a previous case, could lock in what the boots would look like before setting up a pre-order...

For the 310 guys, this is one that hits all the buttons:

But also, a killer boot would be something close to the Context 2045, but with captoe (which looks great on that last).

Looks good, but plain toe would be better.

I like it, but the missing top eyelets always bugs me a bit.
Has Viberg ever done 4 eyelets + 2 speed hooks?
I know a lot of ppl are anti speed hook, but just curious if it is possible or of interest.

For me the captoe is essential.  And if I propose this one this time around it would be with a lowered heel, Cat's Paw heel and Vibram half-sole, and probably Icy Mocha CXL.

As far as the 5 eyelets, I agree with meso that it's a little odd but it kind of adds to the distinctive old fashioned flavor of the boot in my eyes. But I know Viberg stopped doing that 1950 service boots style, so it may not even be available.

I don't see why they can't do the 5 eyelets. It's just cutting fewer holes...

One would think, but let's face it Viberg is not quite known for their flexibility...

Note: on the go forward Viberg will not stock the Boondocker on their website with stichdown construction. It'll only be with the flat welt. So do I need to remind everyone here's our opportunity to get a Boondocker with stichdown construction.

Isn't that the exact same boots you can get through Cabourn? http://www.cabourn.com/men/shoes/viberg-boon-docker-natural

Unstructured Boondockers seem to be pretty common.

Good point. I do, however, think I've seen 5 eyelet makeups for European stockists in the past year or so. I bet they'd accommodate us.

Can we talk leather? Horse butt!
