Viberg Boots - Page 97

Man, these all look amazing.

Just a super quick question, do you go down a full size or half a size for uk?
There's no hard and fast rule, like with every brand it depends upon their lasts and standard fit etc.

For Viberg, go down a full size from your regular US.

There are conversion charts and I found them (on the 2030 last) pretty TTS.
If I would have a wider last I could go down half a size, as there is a bit room in the front.
US sneakers 9, redwing 8.5, wolverine 8.5, viberg 8

Link to the conversion charts? That's pretty useful information to have.

I am waiting on Guy to get back to me with some pricing information so that you guys will be better able to choose between options.

Cordovan is not an option right now, because the wait times are waaaayyyy too long. Horween only produces so much, and there is a limited amount allocated to Viberg. We will try to work on something, but it's not on the table for the time being.

Brett, Guy, and I are all pretty stoked to get this going.

LA Guy sorry to bother with this question again but would the boots be sent to you first or would they go out individually?  Asking as a Canadian.  Any information greatly appreciated.

LA Guy from a couple of pages back..........
"The terms would be 50% non-refundable deposit, and full payment within 30 days of the boots arrival at my place. After that, the customer would be considered MIA, and we'd sell the remaining boot to someone else."

Well, I am out because I don't want to take chances paying taxes or duty on a Canadian product being a Canadian.  baldy[1].gif

If customs form is marked correctly, you won't have to.

This. Items made in Canada are not subject to customs on the way back.

Thank you for the information guys!  Hopefully something in merlot or burgundy will come up.  fing02[1].gif

So, I will put up a poll later today, but I've priced out three boots so far, just so you guys have something to discuss The prices, as you can see, vary considerably depending on the makeup. I've also received my own boots, which would retail for about $720, if people are actually interested.

A) Style: Service boot
Leather: black standard hide
Last: 2030
Toe: Plaintoe. Unconstructed toe.
Sole: Natural welt, natural single leather midsole, leather or dainite sole
Hardware: 7 gun metal eyelets (regular confirmation)
Tongue: black
Black stitching on upper
Price (approximate, including shipping in the CONUS, and with shipping outside the CONUS set at $30) = $685

B) Style: Service Boot with top band stitching
Leather: Iced Mocha CXL or Brown Horsehide
Last: 2030 Last
Toe cap: Brogue Toe Cap unstructured
Sole: double leather soles, single leather with vibram 705 half soles, or dainite sole.
Hardware: 7 Brass Eyelets
Tongue: black or dark brown leather (CXL is not usuable on bellows tongues)
Stitching on uppers: Brown stitching (tonal)
Price (approximate, including shipping in the CONUS, and with shipping outside the CONUS set at $30) = $735

C) Style: Service boot
Leather: French black calf
Last: 2030
Toecap: Plaintoe. Unconstructed toe.
Sole: Natural welt, natural single leather midsole, leather outsole
Hardware: 7 gun metal eyelets (regular confirmation)
Tongue: black
Black stitching on upper
The boot would be distressed by hand by soaking, “balling the shoe” wet in a burlap sack, and then drying. All inconsistencies in the boots would be considered features of the distressing process and should not be considered defects.
Price: (approximate, including shipping in the CONUS, and with shipping outside the CONUS set at $30) = $805 (the distressing process is considerable work).
