I think they turned out great. You happy with them? What did you use ?

Thanks for sharing

Thanks- yes I'm pleased with they turned out. I used three coats of Fiebings suede dye in medium brown. Not sure if it got picked up on the crappy photo, but they manage to be both pretty rich/deep but still show details in the grain. Given my history with DIY projects, this is a miracle.

Finally it's back... Black WF Bad Seed from Palmer Trading! Thought this would never return. Great looking boot.

Amazing job.  Congrats.  And you were quite brave, in my book, to have attempted it.

@BlueHorseShoe : Fab dye job__ very courageous, considering the costly risk🙏🏻

'Recently DIYed my English Tan Latigo Derbies to Army Tan.

Priorly planned for Oxblood or #8, but decided to try something a bit different.

'Envisioned the color to be a few shades lighter [as on the "Angelus" color chart]. I'm hoping they'd lighten up a tad more once the "Scarlet" Meltonian creme seeps in/dries out & the top color gradually flakes away from constant brushing & wear.

Fairly close but one shoe has a bit more lines than the other. Not as bad as some other examples I saw.

Damn and I had thought I missed out on those. Even missed out on a pair on eBay that were a great deal. This is going to be an unexpected expense.

Same here. I've been pining for this for awhile now and it's gonna be worth it. Such an awesome makeup that hasn't been replicated and probably won't be. Think of it this way, this unexpected expense is better than dropping money to a mechanic who says your car have "issues." :D

The Bad Seed is black oil tanned roughout, not WF.

You're looking at the wrong one. It's this new pre-order http://www.palmertrading.com/viberg/pre-order-viberg-x-ptc-bad-seed-service-boot-black-waxed-flesh

Those are pretty sick. I kinda wish they were in a different last like 2040 or something. I like 2030, but with WF just feel like they should have a more workman like profile. Commando would've been good too. Does PTC charge tax and shipping?
